Nintendo WII sports - is it possible to play over the internet yet?

I want to be able to play WII sports, like tennis, with others all over the world from my sitting room. I have my WII linked to my internet connection - WIFI etc . But I want to go that extra step and play online.

Wii Sports does not have online compatibility. If it had online compatibility, it would have a Wi-Fi logo on the game case.

In September 2005, Nintendo released a second redesign of the Game Boy Advance. This model, dubbed the Game Boy micro, is similar in style to the original Game Boy Advance's horizontal orientation, but is much smaller and sleeker. The Game Boy micro also allows the user an ability to switch between several colored faceplates to allow customization, a feature which Nintendo advertised heavily around the Game Boy micro's launch. Nintendo also hoped that this "fashion" feature will help target audiences outside of typical video game players, much like its new Wii. Unlike the previous Game Boy Advance models, Game Boy micro is unable to support Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles.

Nintendo's competitors in the handheld market were the Neo Geo Pocket Color, Bandai Swan Crystal, Game Park 32, Tapwave Zodiac and the Nokia N-Gage. Despite the competitors' best efforts, Nintendo maintained its majority market share with the Game Boy Advance.

To date, Nintendo has sold 80,500,000 GBA units around the world. Over half of those in the Americas and 16 million in Japan at second place.

The Game Boy Advance has become the modern flagship of sprite-based games. With hardware superior to the Super NES it has proven that sprite-based technology could improve and live side by side with the 3D games of today's consoles. The Game Boy Advance not only has one's typical platformers, but also a huge collection of SNES-style RPGs. It has also become a popular system for old-school gamers due to the increasing amount of games ported from various 8-bit and 16-bit systems of the previous era. Through the use of flash cartridges and emulators the Game Boy Advance can even play NES and TurboGrafx-16 games, as well as AGI-based Sierra On-Line PC adventure games.

Nintendo owners enjoy a huge selection of Nintendo games from Sport, Action and Adventure to Simulation, Strategy and Edutainment.

The best selling game of all times is Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Released in March 2003 was sold at over 13 million copies.

An updated list of all GBA games can be found on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Game_Boy_Advance_games

Nowadays you can find many websites that sell Nintendo games online, where you can also find rare classics in affordable prices and games that are mostly unreachable in stores.

My personal favorite, “Games – advance” is an online store with, by far, the largest online selection of both new releases and rare classics and both original and 3rd party Nintendo accessories. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is huge. You can check them out at: http://www.games-advance.com

GAMEGUIDEDOG'S: 2008 TOP 20 HOTTEST GAME TITLES ALONG WITH THE WALKTHROUGH STRATEGY GUIDES TO HELP YOU PLAY THEM!

1.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
(EA; Release date: October 27, 2008) - This computer game is a real-time strategy game that is a continuation of the Command & Conquer series. The Red Alert game series asserts that Albert Einstein designed a time machine and used it for the purposes of traveling back in time to kill Adolf Hitler, thus preventing Nazi Germany from forming and preventing World War II from ever taking place. In this scenario, Joseph Stalin becomes Europe's main aggressor. Following the events of Red Alert 2, the Soviet Union leadership plans to also travel back in time with a time machine they too have created with the intent to assassinate Albert Einstein following his killing of Hitler, thus placing the Soviet Union in a position of power. Unfortunately, during this mission a terrible mistake is made and a completely different timeline is created that erased all of the events of the previous games thus altering the evolution of technology and creating newer, more advanced technologies such as a super power deemed the Rising Sun. This inevitably fuels a World War between the Soviets, the Allies and the Empire.

2. Fable II  (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide) - Fable II is a role playing game designed to be played on the Xbox 360 console. It is a sequel to Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters. Set 500 years after the original Fable, Fable II is an action role-playing game that allows players to live whatever life they decide in a completely open world environment. There is limitless freedom and choice and players can explore many different catacombs, caves, and dungeons in the world of Albion.

3. Fallout 3  (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide) - Fallout 3 is a PC game and takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States in the year 2277. The character the player chooses is a member of a fallout shelter, Vault 101 that serves Washington, D.C. The character resides with their widower father (voiced by Liam Neeson) until, one day, the player awakes to discover that the father has vacated the vault and journeyed into the wasteland for an unknown reason. The vault overseer becomes suspicious that the player is the cause of the father's disappearance, so the player decides to travel into the wasteland in search of their father. The player will run into organizations from previous games such as the Brotherhood of Steel (a group of tech coveting survivors), and the Enclave - an elitist and genocidal group from the United States Government.

4. Far Cry 2 (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide): Far Cry 2 is a first-person shooter game designed originally for Windows, but will be available on October 21, 2008 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation platforms. The game no longer entails the science fiction aspects of its predecessor; in fact, the setting is realistic. The game takes place in a small, imaginary, central-African nation that is in a state of civil war. The protagonist of the games in the past, Jack Carver is not featured in this game. In the sequel, the player will have an option of choosing nine different characters for play. Each character has its own unique look and story. All of the characters will be different types of mercenaries. Any playable character not chosen will become a non-player character throughout the game. The plot of the game is centered on the recent collapse of the nation's government which leaves two factions trying to gain control. The United Front Liberation and Labor, and the Alliance for Popular Resistance are at war with one another. Both groups claim to have the interest of the people at heart but are both obviously corrupt. It is then revealed that the diamond minds have been completely depleted, leaving the people with nothing, causing even more drama amongst the people of the country. The player must find and liquidate "The Jackal" an arms dealer that has been selling weapons to both sides of the conflict. This goal is to be accomplished by any means necessary.

5. Gears of War 2 (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide): - Gears of War 2 is a third-person shooter game developed exclusively for the Xbox 360. At the end of the first game, there was a Lightmass Bomb; Gears of War 2 takes place six months after its detonation. The majority of the Locust Horde was destroyed. In addition, the explosion caused the majority of the liquid Imulsion underground to vaporize thus causing a fatal disease deemed "Rust Lung", which spread among the already diminishing human population. Following months of piece, Tollen and Montevado (two cities) disappear underground, thus causing the COG to believe the Locust has resurged. The players responsibility is to save the Jacinto Plateau, one of the only remaining safe harbors for humans, to do this one must take on a war with the Locust.

6. Lego Batman  (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide): Lego Batman was released for the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and Microsoft Windows. Lego Batman is Traveller's Tales fifth shot at a Lego Game, and though the game should be perfected, it most definitely is not. It is still quirky. The puzzles don't make sense, and it is still difficult to judge your jumps. Lego Batman is unique, however, because the story is not based off of a movie, or a comic book plot. The tale is basic- villains escape Arkham Asylum and Batman is responsible for hunting them down. Basically the whole point is breaking things, fighting, and getting rid of the bad guys. Throughout the games, you'll have an opportunity to play in a vast array of scenarios and encounter a ton of characters. It's a great simple mix, and a really fun, simple game to play.

7. Little Big Planet (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide): - Designed for the Playstation 3, Little Big Planet is a unique experience in that players learn about the powers that their characters have when interacting physically with the environment. There are many different obstacles to explore, items to collect, and different puzzles to solve that require not only mental ability, but also teamwork and collaboration. As players explore the game, their creative skills will begin to grow and they will be able to begin modifying their surroundings. All of the skills required of the game are acquired through play, so this game is very simple and user friendly.

8. Call of Duty World at War (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide): - Designed for play on your PC; Call of Duty World at War forces players into the awful, and ruthless chaotic world that was WWII combat, and also challenges them to survive the worst battles that led to the fall of the Axis powers.

9. Dead Space (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide): - Dead Space is a third-person action video game designed for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It is set in the future and revolves around a space engineer, Isaac Clarke. Clarke works for Concordance Extraction Corporation, a company responsible for "giant mining ships" all over the galaxy. His company gets a distress call from the USG Ishimura, a ship that destroys planets for the purpose of extracting valuable ore. When he thinks that a mechanical failure is the only issue, he goes to rendezvous with the ship to find that the ship has been overrun be Necromorphs, a flesh eating alien race. Isaac is then separated and must battle his way to safety.

10. Guitar Hero World Tour (Activision; Release date: October 26, 2008) – This is the fourth game in the Guitar Hero sequence and should be available for Wii, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, and the Xbox 360. The game will continue to feature the guitar shaped controller, but will now be equipped with drum and microphone controllers for the percussion and vocal parts. This version of the game will allow users to create their own songs, not just perform the ones available on the game.

11. Left 4 Dead (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide):  – The goal of Left 4 Dead is an easy one - all you have to do is survive. You are lucky enough to be one of the few survivors of a new and highly dangerous strain of the rabies virus that has spread over the entire human population. It turns all humans into rabid and bloodthirsty zombies. Team work is necessary if you want to finish the game alive. Left 4 Dead is a first person multiplayer co-op survival horror shooter. It pits four human survivors against 4 human controlled characters. The game is available for the Xbox 360 or your PC.

12. Mirror's Edge (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide):  – Mirror's Edge will be coming to you via the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. It is a game about a runner, whose parents were murdered while protesting the government. Her name is Faith and she has to aid her sister in escaping from the corrupt government. Faith was taught that it is important to not utilize or rely on current communication methods because they are monitored by the police and government. She is forced to run messages to the criminal underworld in an attempt to rescue her sister. She is pursued and chased by government agents. The game play is realistic, and the graphics from the trailer look great.

13. NHL 2K9 (2K Sports; Already released)- 2K Sports really did a great job with the completely rebuilt NHL experience. NHL 2K9 offers a new in-game presentation system, new player animations and controls. You'll be pleased with the new commentary, and even more user friendly controls. It makes playing the game on your Wii, Xbox 360, or Playstation 3 even better than it was before.

14. Prince of Persia (Ubisoft; Release date: December 2, 2008)- Just in time for Christmas, Prince of Persia will be released for play on your PC. The game starts off with a new Prince of Persia. Together the venture to the center of the garden, where they watch the trees destruction, thus leading to the liberation of Ahriman, the ancient god of darkness. After Ahriman is set free, he begins covering the lands with evil and darkness. The Prince and Elkia fight against Ahriman in an attempt to make the world good again.

15. Resistance 2 (GameGuideDog.com has the walkthrough guide) : Designed exclusively for the Playstation 3, Resistance 2 is an alternative history first person shooter video game. Resistance 2 is a continuation of the Resistance: Fall of Man story line. The game picks up at the end of Resistance Fall of man, and takes place just outside of London, England. It begins with hale walking through a field covered in snow; he is armed with only one grenade. A VTOL Aircraft sees Hale and then transports him to the Dan Aric Johnson Air force Base in Iceland. The Top Teams in Supercross Motorcycle Racing

Are you a fan of supercross motorcycle racing?  If so, there is a good chance that you are already familiar with some of the most popular supercross motorcycle racing teams.  If you are not, it is likely that you would like to famialrize yourself with them, especially if you are interested in becoming a full-time fan of the sport. As with just about any sport, you will find that supercross motorcycle racing has a number of different teams, which in a way can also be considered sponsors.

One of the most popular and well known supercross motorcycle racing teams is that of Honda. Honda is most well known for its production of vehicles. These vehicles range from everyday cars to motorcycles, including off-road motorcycles.  Perhaps, that is one of the reasons why Honda started their own supercross motorcycle racing team.  The most popular supercross racer to partner with Honda has been Jeremy McGrath. Although Jeremy McGrath is planning on retiring near the end of 2006, he, Honda, and a number of other sponsors are planning on going out with a bang.  That bang is the Jeremy McGrath Invitational, which is scheduled to take place in early October of 2006.

Like Honda, Kawasaki is another maker of off-road motorcycles. They have also developed the Kawasaki supercross racing team.  This team comprises of a couple of well known riders, including James Stewart. James Stewart was recently crowned the 2006 World Supercross GP Champion.  In addition to the 2006 champion, James Stewart, the Kawasaki team also includes Michael Byrne.

Suzuki, also another maker of a number of different vehicles, including off-road motorcycles, is another supercross motorcycle racing team. That team comprises of Ricky Carmichael and Ivan Tedesco.  Although Ivan Tedesco's accomplishments shouldn't go unnoticed, Ricky Carmichael is known as one of the best supercross riders of all times.  In fact, he has gone on to win a number of championships.  This popular and well performing rider is often compared to the great Jeremy McGrath.

In addition to Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki, Yamaha is another popular and well known manufacturer of off-road motorcycles. In fact, if you enjoy off-road biking at your home, there is a good chance that you own a Yamaha off-road motorcycle. Their motorcycles are often considered the most popular on the market. Aside from manufacturing a number of off-road motorcycles, Yamaha is also known as being a supercross motorcycle racing team. This team comprises of Chad Reed and Heath Voss.  Out of the two riders, Chad Reed is the most well known, not only in the United States, but all around the world.

As you may already know or assume, the riders of each time race a motorcycle from the team that they are with. For instance, Chad Reed, a member of Team Yamaha, races a Yamaha bike and so on.  These bikes are not always like the bikes that you can find at your local recreational sports store. In fact, many of these bikes are specialty bikes, made just for supercross motorcycle racing.  However, this does not mean that you will not have access to one of those bikes.  For example, Suzuki is currently offering a replica of Ricky Carmichael's 2006 supercross bike. Many other motorcycle teams and companies are beginning to follow suit.

In addition to the above mentioned teams, you will also find that many of these teams and riders have different sponsors.  These sponsors tend to include those that sell racing parts, as well as everyday products, such as food or drinks. By familiarizing yourself with the most popular supercross motorcycle racing teams, you will be more informed, when it comes to exercising your knowledge of the sport.

Calculating the Right Strategic Alliance for Your Company

Copyright (c) 2008 Christian Fea

A strategic alliance can significantly open your market opportunities, connecting you with a desired audience. Forming a strategic alliance should begin with taking an honest look the many aspects that make up your business - and making sure the other partner fits those elements well. Finding the right strategic alliance is crucial. The concept of two minds being better than one can work, but make sure to take a look at the following:

Vision: Assess what the company wants to become. Then, based on current practices, compare the vision with the company's potential to achieve its vision. With that information, you will have a clear idea about what the company needs to achieve that vision. Core Values: Determine the organization's values. Ask what it cares about and who will it benefit. These answers will play a key role in choosing your alliance, as you'll want to find a company with beliefs comparable to your own. Evaluation:

Evaluate your strengths and be objective about your weaknesses. Determine where you succeed and where you are challenged. Your time is most valuably spent doing what you do best. If you spend more time doing things you struggle with, you are losing money. Find an affiliate company who succeeds where you struggle. Chances are an alliance with them will also come with added value to your own clients and would give you time back to do what you do best.

History: Evaluate when the company started, its major successes and failures. Make sure your understanding of their history is detailed and complete.

Real Issues: Now it's time to start thinking about the real issues the company has. Make bullet points of everything that is happening internally and externally. Include economic conditions, legislation, and public perception.

Goals: The company's goals should be not be to make money, but to provide a tangible benefit to someone or something. Making money is a symptom of filling a need. Strategic alliances could enhance the benefit to your clients, which will equally greater profits.

Key Publics: This may be the most important aspect to consider when shopping for an affiliate. Pick at least ten of your key publics and prioritize them. Define their importance: who they are and why they are important. When two companies have mutual publics, they have a common goal.

Message Statement: Consider the perception your public will have about your company. Now ask yourselves what are the top three things you want to be known for. Forming an alliance can create or re-enforce the essential message you want your clients to hear. Sending the desired message is invaluable and many companies have used alliances as a creative marketing tool ultimately getting the attention they desire.

When considering forming a strategic alliance, there are many issues to consider. Once you've collected all the data, analyzed the company's current situation in comparison to where they are going and ultimately where they want to be, you may find an alliance a great vehicle to get you there.

How does one repeat comic book missions in Marvel Ultimate Alliance?

Sorry for the noob question, but is it possible to repeat the comic book missions in Marvel Ultimate Alliance?

I see everyone talk about using them to level up all your characters, but I don't know how to go back and repeat them. Thanks for the help!

If you failed the first time I know for sure that you can play it again, you just go to the Training Console thing that's in your HQ the same way you started the mission in the first place (unless you decided to start the mission right when you first found the Simulator disc). But even then you can still repeat it by simply going to the Training Console thing that's located in every HQ. (There's a different name for it in each HQ, just look for a console with the word "Training")

Now to play it again after you succeeded the comic book mission I'm not fully sure since I've never tried it before, but I believe it is possible. You just do the same thing.

What do you call a man who will notfight his own battles? ?

Why did not Pres. Bush accept Pres.Hussien's ofer to duel? There would have been less lives and money lost. Pres. Hussien brought this to his attention with the offer.

Win Lose or Draw he would have been a hero.

Educationally Challenged.

Bush cannot spell fight or duel. I expect he was incapable of understanding what was said. His grammar is extremely sub-standard, which may account for his obsession with the "No Child Left Behind" non-sense. His further obsessions with, let us say, various other issues cause one to wonder what sort of home life he had. Perhaps if HE had received therapy, my 8 year old nephew wouldn't be required to have a personal counselor. At least these people are assured of work now. The mental health sector must be a very powerful special interest group.

I think a lot of things could be solved with Wuffle Bats. Anger management, frustration at the ever-increasing stupidity of the general populace, laziness and incompetence on the part of government employees, and political misunderstandings. I say we should have given Hussien and Bush Wuffle Bats and let them go the full 10 rounds. If we'd put spikes on the bats, that would have solved a lot of problems, too. hehehe.

Beware: McCain thinks that Putin is the President of Germany. If he gets pissed-off with Putin, will we find ourselves at war with Germany while Russia laughs itself sick??

Guitar Hero III World Tour

Guitar Hero has become a cultural phenomenon in the world of computer video games. The guitar, software, and accessories are availabe in all gaming platforms including Wii, Playstation, Xbox, etc. Guitar Hero is a series of music video games published by RedOctane, in partnership with Activision. The series is notable for its use of a plastic guitar peripheral to simulate the playing of music, represented on-screen by colored notes that correspond to fret buttons on the controller.

Heidi Klum Guitar Hero

Their has recently been a controversial advertisement with model Heidi Klum playing Guitar Hero in her undergarments! The games support individual play as well as cooperative and competitive modes for two players. The series has used a range of both licensed and independent rock music tracks from the 1960s, throughout the decades to the present, including many master tracks from the bands. In total, six games have been released for video game consoles. Games have also been released for mobile phones and the Nintendo DS handheld gaming system.

History

The series was originally developed by Harmonix Music Systems from 2005 to 2007. Then development duties of the series were transferred to Neversoft, whose first effort, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was released on October 28, 2007 in North America.

The Guitar Hero franchise has become a cultural phenomenon, making many appearances in popular culture, and the games have become extremely popular as party games and hobbies. The series has sold 23 million units, earning $1.6 billion in retail sales.

Guitar Controller

Guitar Hero is unusual because it comes packaged with a controller peripheral modeled after a black Gibson SG guitar. Rather than a typical gamepad. This guitar controller is the primary input for the game. Playing the game with the guitar controller simulates playing an actual guitar, except it uses five colored "fret buttons" and a "strum bar" instead of frets and strings. The development of Guitar Hero was inspired by Konami's GuitarFreaks arcade game, which at the time, had not seen much exposure in the North American market; RedOctane, already selling guitar-shaped controllers for imported copies of GuitarFreaks, approached Harmonix about creating a game to use an entirely new Guitar controller.

The concept was to have the gameplay of Amplitude with the visuals of Karaoke Revolution, both of which had been developed by Harmonix. The game was met with critical acclaim and received numerous awards for its innovative guitar peripheral and its soundtrack, which comprised 47 playable rock songs (most of which were cover versions of popular songs from artists and bands from the 1960s through modern rock). Guitar Hero has sold nearly 1.5 million copies to date.

Guitar Hero II Release

The popularity of the series increased dramatically with the release of Guitar Hero II for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. Featuring improved multiplayer gameplay, an improved note-recognizing system, and 64 songs, it became the fifth best-selling video game of 2006. The PlayStation 2 version of the game was offered both separately and in a bundle with a cherry red Gibson SG guitar controller. Guitar Hero II was later released for the Xbox 360 in April 2007 with an exclusive Gibson X-Plorer guitar controller and an additional 10 songs, among other features. About 3 million units of Guitar Hero II have sold on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360.

The final game in the Guitar Hero series to be developed by Harmonix was Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s for the PlayStation 2, which was released in July 2007. This final game version, changing the visuals from Guitar Hero II, and shortening the song list with no bonus songs was not as well received by reviewers.

Transition

Transition Both RedOctane and Harmonix were experiencing changes in 2006. RedOctane was bought by Activision in June while it was announced in September that Harmonix would be purchased by MTV Networks. As a result of the two purchases, Harmonix would no longer develop future games in the Guitar Hero series. Instead, developing would go to Neversoft, a subsidiary of Activision known for developing the Tony Hawk's series of skateboarding games.

Neversoft

Neversoft was chosen to helm the Guitar Hero series after Neversoft founder, Joel Jewett, admitted to the RedOctane founders, Kai and Charles Huang, that his development team for Tony Hawk's Project 8 went to work on weekends just to play Guitar Hero. In 2007, Harmonix and MTV Games released a new music title through rival publisher Electronic Arts, called Rock Band. It expanded upon the gameplay popularized by the Guitar Hero series by adding drum and microphone instruments, allowing players to simulate playing songs as bands, though this functionality has now been implemented in Guitar Hero World Tour.

Guitar Hero III:

Legends of Rock was released in late 2007 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, and Mac platforms. The title is the first installment of the series to include wireless guitars bundled with the game and also the first to release a special bundle with two guitars. The game includes Slash and Tom Morello as playable characters in addition to the existing fictional avatars; both guitarists performed motion capture to be used for their characters animation in the game.

Guitar Hero III World Tour (aka Guitar Hero IV)

Guitar Hero World Tour, previously named Guitar Hero IV, is the fourth full game in the series and was released on October 26, 2008 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Analysts had expected that future Guitar Hero games in 2008 would include additional instrument peripherals to compete against Rock Band. Guitar Hero World Tour was confirmed as in development following the announcement of the merger between Activision and Vivendi Games in December 2007. Activision's CEO Bobby Kotick announced on April 21, 2008 that Guitar Hero World Tour will branch out into other instruments including vocals. Guitar Hero World Tour includes drums and is packaged with a new drum set controller. A larger number of real-world musicians appear as playable characters, including the great Jimi Hendrix, Billy Corgan, Sting, and Ozzy Osbourne. Guitar Hero World Tour also features the creation of custom songs that can be shared with others.

On September 4, 2007, Billboard announced that the band Aerosmith was "working closely with the makers of Guitar Hero IV, which will be dedicated to the group's music." On February 15, 2008, Activision announced that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, an expansion game to the series, would be released on June 29, 2008.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is developed by Neversoft for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, while the Wii version of the game is developed by Vicarious Visions and the PlayStation 2 version is developed by Budcat Creations. The game features a track selection composed of 60% of Aerosmith songs, with other songs from Joe Perry's solo work or artists that have inspired or performed with Aerosmith, including Run D.M.C. Also in the works: Activision's 2008 SEC filings cited that they plan to release Guitar Hero: Metallica by the first quarter of 2009.

By all expectations Guitar Hero will once again be the number one selling computer video game of the year in 2008. The Guitar Hero phenomenon lives on!
