The long holiday weekend is at hand as we celebrate our nation's birthday. It coincides with the time of the year most of the NFL takes a long vacation. NoLogoNeeded.com decided to dive into its mailbag to see what is on the minds of Browns fans. Around 20 days remain until rookies report to Berea.

Q: With so many wide receivers on the roster, can we expect the Browns to be similar to the team that was an offensive juggernaut the first half of 2007? We really enjoyed that offense!
Braylon, Bryan, Josh, Mike, Paul, David, Syndric, Jordan and Donte — Cleveland, Ohio

A: Glad to see you guys got together and came up with a good question. I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but your favorite style of a football's offense — air it out — is not going to fly in Cleveland (yes, pun intended). First, it doesn't work with the type of weather on the banks of Lake Erie come November and December. Second, it doesn't jive with the style of the team's new head coach Eric Mangini. He likes a ball control offense that uses the running game and short passes to move the chains. Look for the wide receivers who can block in the running game, run good routes and catch the ball as the ones to see the most playing time.

Q: Do you think Cincinnati is going to regret not drafting Rey Maualuga last April?
Rey Ray — Cincinnati, Ohio

A: There is no doubt Maualuga is an impact linebacker, but his character issues were a concern as well how he fits into the 3-4 scheme. In a 4-3 defense where Maulagua can be a true, rusty-nail eating, knuckle-dragging middle linebacker who runs all over the field and has no regard for scheme or human life — he is a better fit. It just sucks for Browns fans they’ll have to see him twice a year and think, “What if?” But would have been a big “if” if he was in a 3-4.

Q: Man, Steelers fans really hammered former coach Bill Cowher hard for cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes instead of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL playoffs this spring. Wasn’t that a bit harsh?
Mr. James — Bath Township, Ohio

A: Mr. James, it further illustrated the similarities between Browns fans and Steelers fans. If you remember, Cleveland’s all-star forward, LeBron James (related, Mr. James?), wore a Yankees hat to an Indians-Yankees playoff game in 2007. He was dragged across the coals for not supporting the Tribe. Cowher won a Super Bowl for the Steelers not the Carolina Panthers. LeBron is putting the Cavs, not the Knicks, in position to win Cleveland’s first pro title since 1964.

Q: Do you know of any Browns-themed calculators? Counting millions upon millions of dollars by hand while I do nothing all day is too difficult.
Romeo — undisclosed location

31rHxVwqJEL._SL250_ A: I can do you two better, not only did I find a Browns theme calculator, but it's in the shape of a football.

Q: Dude, what is up with Jim Brown?
Eldrick — Windemere, Fla.

A: What Eldrick is referring to is last month, former Browns running back said that Tiger Woods is a killer on the golf course, but terrible as an individual for social contribution. He ripped Tiger that the golfer's contribution is teaching kids to play golf.

Eldrick, I think Mr. Brown forgets it’s not the 1960s. The best golfer in the world is black. The President of the U.S. is black. The younger generation, the generation of Jim Browns’ grandchildren, simply do not live in the same world as he did.

Fact is, Tiger Woods does plenty of charity work and this weekend his golf tournament in Washington, D.C. honors those fighting for our country. Woods contributions to our society are plenty.

Q: Are there any job openings within the Browns organization or at NoLogoNeeded.com?
Eric W. — Cleveland, Ohio

A: Sadly, in this economy, neither the Browns nor NoLogoNeeded.com is hiring right now. Good luck, though.

If servering time on DV charges is contributing to society, then Jim Brown is a modern day Ghandi.
